Love Kourts makeup!

I don't care what people say about Scott's crazy antics the man can dress!

Dye Gone Awry!

*Turns mic up* DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. I REPEAT DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Or you could do like I did and just ignore your inner voice.

There I was in Sally's trying to talk myself out of it. "Just go to the salon Jae."  "Don't do it Jae." "Your hair is going to fall out and then we will be at zero again." But I did it anyway. I purchased this...

There I was in the comfort of my own home ready to take the plunge and be a red head for a chance. So I mixed the product up, put it in and waited. Then I waited some more. Rinsed it out and couldn't wait to see my new look. There I was in my bathroom mirror looking at the same black hair I started with. Seriously! Completely dissapointed! I was looking for a drastic change but what I got was a tint of red that can only be seen in the daylight and when the sun is at it's peak!!!! I know my hair is resistent and jet black but come on! I guess it's one of those situations where "It's not you! It's me!"
Oh well

P.S.
And yes I now there is absolutely nothing natural about permanent hair dye!

Fake it til you make it. Perfect Skin.

I came across this article and wanted to share.

Girls in the Beauty Department Beauty: glamour.com

After a 10-year struggle with acne, Cassandra Bankson, 20, has figured out exactly how to cover even her worst breakouts, and gotten famous by sharing her tips with the world on YouTube.

Inspiring, or what? Watch more of Cassandra's videos at DiamondsAndHeels14, plus, here's more of her beauty gospel:
1. Prep first. Apply anti- shine gel to your T-zone, then a primer all over (a green-tinted one cuts down redness).
2. Add foundation. Go for a thick formula but avoid ones with pore-clogging silicones. Smear it on with clean fingers, and pat to blend for a super-natural look, she says. Dot concealer on any spots that still show through.
3. Then set. Apply powder, and use a setting spray to keep it all in place for hours without getting cakey.
4. Complete the look. Add your favorite eye, lip, and cheek color. And voila̿—gorgeous!

Concealer: “Layer it over foundation for max cover- age.” MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer ($18, maccosmetics .com)
Noncakey Powder: “This is the finest powder in the world!” she says. Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder ($26, sephora.com)

Black Opal Yay or Nay?

I was in dire need for a new foundation and spending $30 on Mac was definitely out of the question. So what's a girl to do? Take it to the internet! After searching for some dupe reviews many people said Black Opal was a good brand to try. The thing is I have never seen it in any of the stores in my area and ordering online was out of the question. I ended up driving about 30 minutes to get my hands on the stuff. :) I hate it when you go out of your way to purchase something specific and the shelf is clear! I mean absolutely clear. You could only image the look on my face...DISGUSTED! As I went to turn away something said look again and there it was one tube left. Could it be? Yes! and in the shade I wanted! How awesome is that?

So is it a Yay or Nay?

Clearly my camera phone sucks but you get the idea. :) I choose the foundation stick in Beautiful Bronze for about $10. I normally wear NC50 in Mac and the reviews I saw said this was spot on. I think its closer to the NW range and its a little too warm for my completion. I ended up mixing it with a lighter foundation I had and the color came out wonderful. It went on smooth and mixes well with other foundation brands. I would definitely buy again and might add it to my kit as a backup.

So I couldn't leave with out picking up this blush that was literally jumping out at me. The color is absolutely vibrant and screamed Beat Beaute! It's called Raspberry by Black Radiance. I never used there products before but for $4.99 I couldn't resist. This stuff is AH-MAZING! You know how sometimes when you purchase drug store brands it can come out "ashy" once applied on the skin? This is far from ashy. I tend to be a little heavy handed in application and when I applied it to my face I was boredline MiMi from the Drew Carey show, lol. A little definitely goes a long way with this product. It is a definite must and I'm extremely happy with it!
(Note to self buy one in every color!)
